Wig Making Course (Hand Made) £850 – 2 Days

Basics of Making Wigs:

This course aim to build confidence, and gives you practical tuition in the art of professional wig making at elementary level.
The course will cover all aspects of wig making but will mainly concentrate on:image016

  • Head preparation and measuring
  • Transferring measurements onto a block
  • Lace foundation making
  • Single & double knotting
  • Knotting directions
  • Weaving (used switches and weft extensions)

Time:  1 Day (10.00 am – 3.00 pm) Price: £650 (Idea for wig stylist/refresher course)

2 Days Training £850 (10.00 am – 3.00 pm)

One 2 One or Salon Training is available on request with £55 fuel charge
Entry Requirement: These courses are suitable
for beginners or make-up artist studying NVQ/VRQ Level 2 0r 3 hairdressing or equivalent

Who is this course for?
The course is intend for those interested in the Wig making

What is the course about?

This course is design as an introduction to Wig Making. It is aim at beginners and requires no previous experience. You will have the chance to experience a range of wig making skills including foundational and weft weaving.

Is a pre-enrolment interview or assessment required for this course?
No.

What level is the course and do I require particular skills, experience or prior qualifications?
This is a beginner’s course and requires no previous experience.

What topics does the course cover?
The course covers weaving, knotting, setting and foundational position.

How will I be taught and assess?
You will be taught and assess through demonstration/practical work. There are no written assessments in this short course.

Are there any other costs or equipment I need to get?
We supply all the basic starter kit

By the end of the course, what should I be able to do?
You will be able to make your own Wig. You will be able to recognise a range of foundation nets and understand their use in wig making. You will be able to measure a model for a wig and make a template. You will be able to transfer the measurements to a wig block and make a foundational base.

What are the progression opportunities following this course?
You can use the skills that you develop to become a trainee wig maker in a wig company or you can add the skills that you acquire to your repertoire as a make-up artist
